I know, you are asking yourself “why there isn’t a Google widget?”. Ok, stay calm, don’t panic, breathe deeply and please keep reading. I started using DuckDuckGo as my default search engine for some important reasons:

Monopoly too often leads to a stall of the innovation (who said Internet Explorer 6?), an abuse of the position and lack of freedom. It doesn’t matter if they aren’t evil. Please, think about this question and always look out when someone asks a piece of your freedom in exchange of a trendy service. I’m not a fundamentalist, I’m not saying that you should teach your mother how to use OpenBSD, just please be conscious of what you are doing and which tools you are using.
